Black and Golden tin box with Peling.
Box (214x173x60mm) is American. Patented February 27, 1923. Made of tin printed red and gold. The Peling-logo and characters appear on other sets too. Here and there the black and the golden borders have retouched. The yellow copper inside has a loose divider to separate tiles, counters etc.
Tiles (21x28x11mm) are Chinese. The bamboo is of average quality. The engraving is good. Two of the four spare tiles show trial dots.
Counters are made of bone with western denomination.
Dice (4x) are made of bone with Chinese points. Their holder is a homemade, black Cricket box.
Wind discs are made of black horn and feature white, rather blurred characters. Their holder is a black horn Ming box..
The set lacks an instruction manual.
