Box (265x142x86mm) is Chinese. Made of wood. The sliding lid shows a carved Babcock-logo and lettering. Inside tiles and counters et cetera are separated by a partition.
Tiles (21x30x10mm) are Chinese. Made of black bamboo. The reversed characters and images are filled in with white, red and green.
Counters are made of bone with western denomination.
Dice (4x) are made of bone with Chinese points. Their holder is a Cricket box.
Wind discs are made of black horn. Their holder is a black horn Ming cylinder.
Instruction manual is Babcock’s red booklet. 1st Dutch printing, January 1923. Edited by The Continental Mah Jongg Sales Co. There are also a score card and two counting tables. Exceptional is the letter for a free lesson by the director of the Dutch company.
