Traditional box. With ‘Made in China’ on front.

Box (239x163x163mm), is Chinese. Made of quality rosewood. A standard 5 drawer model with sliding front and the usual copper ornaments. The front shows two bordered in, fake-jade characters and a text ‘MADE IN CHINA’. The words ‘BRAND POPPY’ appear on a corner piece.

Tiles (20x29x11mm) are Chinese. Made of quality thick bone and thin bamboo.
The engraving is first-rate. The seasons are visibly never played with. There are 4 spare tiles.

Counters are bone with Chinese denomination.
They are added later (± 1975).

Dice (4x) are made of bone with Chinese points. Their holder is a cricket box.

Winddiscs are made of bone with green characters. Their holder is a bone Ming cylinder.

The set has no instruction manual.

N.B. Three grips are glued. One is bolted.
