Tall, red 5-drawer box with fixed lid.
Box (225x153x92mm) is English. Made of card-board covered with red, fake-croc paper. Instead of the Chad Valley label the lid shows 2 silver Chad Valley characters. Inside are 4 drawers for tiles and one for counters etc. The dirty and discolored box is (evidently) repaired.
Tiles (21x30x14mm) are English. Made of wood covered with paper printed with the Chad Valley-characters and graphics. Bamboo 1 shows the not so often used Crane. On the back (exceptional!) white paper is pasted.
Counters are big discs of colored bone. Value 1000 points p.p.
Dice (2x) are made of bone and have Western points.
Wind discs (4x) are made from cardboard with Chad Valley wind characters.
Instruction manual is Chad Valley’s own booklet, 5th edition, December 1923.
