Tall, dark brown 5-drawer box with sliding front.
Box (235x155x163mm) is English but looks Chinese. Made of varnished wood and with two typical Chad Valley grips. The front shows the jade-green Chad Valley characters. Inside are 4 drawers for the tiles and one with compartments for counters etc. They have metal grips. Unique: the back of the drawers doubles as rack.
Tiles(20x29x11mm) are English. Made of so called French Bakelite (Casein) with sharp edges. The typical Chad Valley-characters and images are imprinted. There are no spare tiles.
Counters are thin strips of some synthetic material.
Dice (2x) are made of bone with western points.
Wind discs (4x) are made from metal and feature Chad Valley’s own wind characters in fake enamel.
Instruction manual is printed by/for Chad Valley, the 13th edition, November 1927.
Score calculator and score pad are by Chad Valley.
