Rectangular box. Bought ± 1980 in the Mah Jongg factory, Ravenna. The set, according to the applied materials, was most likely made in the Forties.
Box (360x106x42mm) is Italian. Made of stapled cardboard with pattern paper. On the repaired lid a sticker of a still existing Milanese toy shop is pasted. There is also a label with a dragon and mah jongg in fancy Chinese characters. Inside are the tiles, counters etc. and 4 metal racks covered with 1x red and 3x white paper protected by a transparent layer..
Tiles (20x30x6mm) are Italian. Made of layered cardboard. Covered on both sides with paper. Printed with primitive characters etc. There are no spare tiles.
Counters are thin rectangles made of colored celluloid.
Dice (2x) are made of black wood with white Western points.
There are no wind indicators and instruction manual.
