French 5-drawer box with tiles made of a kind of stone.
Box (258x180x136mm) is most likely French. Made of light colored wood. On both sides Red Dragons are incised. The sliding front is made of 2 kinds of wood and shows a rare Green Dragon. The wooden drawers have brass grips.
Tiles (31x22x10mm) are made of a kind of (composite) stone. In 2 layers: on top grayish white and on the back pale green. Characters etc. are hand colored but their embossing is identical and apparently mechanical. The Red Dragon is regular but the Green Dragon atypical. There are no spare tiles.
Counters are discs made of bone with a hole in the middle. Per color 24 pieces. Value is unclear.
Dice (2x) are made of bone with Western denomination.
There are no wind indicators.
Instruction manual is a French version of the ‘Lung Chan’ booklet from 1924.
