Oblong box made in Italy.

Box ((337x151x45mm) is Italian. Made of cardboard covered with red paper printed in gold with mah-jongg and Chinese characters. Inner-box has a (symbolic) flap front. There is space for 4 trays for the tiles, a small box for counters et cetera and for 4 racks made of untreated wood.

Tiles (22x33x8mm) are made of a good quality,white plastic. The monochrome characters and images are used, in Europe and the US, by several toy manufacturers. There are no spare tiles.

Counters are round and rectangular chips of quality plastic. Each in 2 sizes and 2 colors.

Dice (2x) are made of quality plastic with black Western points.

There are no wind indicators.

Instruction manual is Italian. Published in 1977 by Mah Jong manufacturer Ditta Nicheke Valvassori in Ravenna. With pictures and quasi Chinese illustrations.
