Low box with pale green characters.
Box (168x271x45mm) is of Chinese origin. Made of dark brown, lightly lacquered wood. In the lid four characters are carved.
Tiles (17x24x11mm) are Chinese. They are small and made from nice and clean but very thin bone and much thicker bamboo. The engraving is good. Four of the eight seasons feature the, for this kind of set, usual mandarin, vase, cock and caterpillar. The other four are flower tiles. There are four jokers and four spare tiles. In total 152 tiles.
Instruction manual is one of those standard, undated and endlessly reprinted Chinese brochures. On the cover there is a stamp with ‘Made in China’.
There belong no counters, dice, wind indicators and an instruction manual to the set.
