‘The National Game of China’ in rectangular box.
Box (316x142x62mm) is American. Made of heavy cardboard pasted with textured paper printed with golden characters and text. The lid has been a bit restored. The inner box has no front flap. On purpose to make it easier to remove the content. There are four trays for the tiles and four small trays (two of those are reproductions) to hold the counters and dice.
Tiles (22x33x9mm) are made from untreated wood. Printed in 3 colors with characters and images similar to US General 18. The Bamboos are unusual. The Red and White dragons feature text. There are no spare tiles.
Counters are round, wooden sticks of different length.
Dice (2x) are made of bone with Western points.
There are no wind discs and instruction manual.
