Flat box with sliding lid
with picture of Chinaman-with-Hat.
Box (282x146x50mm) is American. Made of two kinds of brown, lacquered wood. The lid is imprinted in gold with the Piroxloid Chinaman-with-Hat. Inside are one big compartment for the tiles and one small for counters etc.
Tiles (22x32x8mm) are made, through and through, of French Ivory celluloid. They are typical for Piroxloid. Like the bird on Bamboo 1, the letters on the Dragons and the flower tiles. There belong no spare tiles to the set.
Counters are strips of white synthetic material with Western denomination.
Dice (2x) are made of celluloid with Western points.
Wind discs are made of synthetic material. Their holder is made of celluloid with French Ivory pattern.
The instruction manual is lacking.
