5 drawer box with picture of Mandarin.
Box (210x136x80mm) is American. Made of cardboard covered with black green bookbinders linen. The lid with push button shows the Piroxloid Mandarin in red and gold. Inside are four trays for the tiles and four small boxes for counters etc.
Tiles (22x28x8mm) are made, through and through, of French Ivory. They are typical for Piroxloid. Like the bird on Bamboo 1, the letters on the Dragons and the flower tiles. There belong no spare tiles to the set.
Counters are strips of synthetic material with Western denomination.
Dice (2x) are made of French Ivory with Western points.
Wind discs are made of synthetic material. Their holder is made of thin French Ivory.
Instruction manual is the standard Piroxloid booklet (© 1923) with the Chinaman-with-Hat. There is an added counting table too.
